about
This was written in response to a recent debacle involving two Pembrokeshire county councillors, one of whom was just so concerned about how much it would cost for the council to shine a light for one night in support of BLM, and the other who, instead of apologising for a racist Facebook post, doubled down and excused his racism by claiming that it was ok because he had "black friends, white friends, you name it."
lyrics
I'd really like to get behind your message
I'd really like to sympathise
I'd really like to support your cause
But it costs £12 to put the lights on at the council for one night
I've got black friends
I've got white friends
You name it
I'm just concerned about the ramifications
To the annual budget
How can afford to have Christmas this year
If we spend one night supporting a minority cause?
I've got black friends
White friends
You name it
I don't appreciate these baseless accusations
You can't say anything these days without these liberal snowflakes getting on your back
All I'm trying to say is it costs too much to support ethnic minority communities
I've got black friends
I've got white friends
You name it
